In-person Service Rules
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, your Board and Rabbi have made the following adjustments to our Services, holding most in-person (simulcast on Zoom).
In accordance with the URJ recommendations, these are the rules:
- Please wear a mask in the sanctuary and the hallways, even if you are fully vaccinated.
- During Services please maintain social distancing — sit in family groups or with close friends who you have already spent time with.
- There will be no Altar Honors or Torah/Haftarah readings or blessings from the members.
- There will be small snacks after each Service. For health reasons, the snacks will be individually wrapped. You may take the snacks home, or eat them in the social hall or at tables set up in the classrooms, library and Board room. Please maintain social distancing, and sit in family groupings or with friends who you feel safe with.
Watch for any late changes regarding “in-person services” or snacks if the CDC, the State of Michigan, Jackson County, or the City COVID-19 rules change.
